Rodjahnae Dupont-Barlow (#33) is safe at second.
CLINTON — In their final home stand, the Lady Maroons took on a strong St. Joseph-Ogden Lady Spartan team.
The Spartans played in the Clinton Invitational earlier in the season and tied with Clinton at two wins and one loss, both teams with their loss to Romeoville. So, the Lady Maroons were confident they were closely paired in this game.
This was not the case on this particular afternoon. The Lady Spartans took command of the game and were in control the entire time. The Lady Maroons worked hard and were very lucky in scoring one run, while the Lady Spartans rocked Olivia Sanders (#9) for 7 runs.
The Lady Spartans also took the junior varsity game 6-1 with only 8 players on the field.
The Lady Maroons will be at home for the regionals, playing their first game on Wednesday, May 24 at 4:30 p.m. Their opponent will be Jacksonville.
