CLINTON — On Tuesday, Nov. 2, the Clinton Lady Maroons took to the hardwood for a couple of games with the LeRoy Lady Panthers.  This was a home season opener after the Turkey Tussle of the past week, and the Lady Maroons seemed up to the task.  

The junior varsities began the evenings events with a tightly contested match-up that was decided in the fourth quarter when the home team made a 12-4 run to take a 33-25 win.  The Lady Maroons were led by Raya Swartz with 10 points and Alaina Soberalski with 9 points.

The varsities then took the floor for their turn.  Although the Lady Panthers seemed to have the upper hand with height and physicality, the home team was scrappy and relentless.  

The opposition failed to score in the first quarter and added only one point in the final stanza with only a few points in between.  

The Lady Maroons brought this victory home in resounding fashion 55-20.  Kaitlyn Rauch led the Lady Maroons with 27 points, yes, that’s more than the entire opposing team put together.
