CLINTON — Laynie Elizabeth Jones, 8, of Clinton, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on November 1, 2019, at her home in Clinton.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Cody Monkman officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney. Visitation will be held from 9–11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Laynie Elizabeth Jones memorial fund.
Laynie was born May 17, 2011 in Urbana, the daughter of Trevor Jones and Jordan E. Lappin.
Survivors include her mother, Jordan E. Lappin (Dominic Dyer), Clinton; father, Trevor (Rachel) Jones, Las Vegas, Nev.; maternal grandmother, April Kemp, Clinton; paternal grandparents, Stacey Pourchot, Bloomington, and Jeff Jones, Taylorville; maternal great-grandparents, Debbie (Steve) Tritchler, Clinton, and Roger (Susie) Kemp, of Indiana; paternal great-grandparents, Dean (Diann) Langley, Atlanta, Ill. Also surviving are cousins, aunts and uncles, including, Austin, Kyle, Kameron, Carter, and Jacob.
Laynie loved music, lights, going to school, and swimming.
