CLINTON — Leland D. Stine, 91, of Clinton, was reunited with his wife of 70 years, Edna, at 4:18 a.m. on January 27, 2020, at the Manor Court, Clinton. They are now together in heaven.
A celebration of Leland’s life will be held at a later date. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with cremation rites.
Memorials may be directed to the New Beginnings Church of God, Normal, Ill.
Leland was born on November 24, 1928, in Indiana, the son of Oscar and Nellie Margaret (Turner) Stine. He married Edna L. Probus on May 3, 1947, in Bloomington, Ill. She passed away on June 30, 2017.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Julie) Stine, Kappa, Ill.; Sandra (Roger) Griffith, Clinton; and Steven (Gina) Stine, Chicago; nine grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren.
Leland was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandchild, fourbrothers, and one sister.
Leland was a member of the Woodlawn Church of God and the Assembly of God Church in Clinton; also, he attended the Church of God, Normal. He enjoyed spending time working on his farm in Kenney.
