Red and Barb were blessed with a blended family of his, hers and their children, Sheila (Marvin) Long, Richard Spurling, Amber Spurling, and Allora (Keiron) Sneed, all of Clinton, Chris (Claire) Spurling, of Gilbert, Ariz., who is a grandson loved and raised as their own, Kimberly (Mark) Creed, of Paige, Texas, and David (Karen) Hupp of Olathe, Kan.  He had 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.  He was especially close to Andrea Pister, Nadya and Karina Atkins, Kena Spurling and Logan and Kiersten Klein.  He spent many hours rocking, walking, swinging, nicknaming and making funny rhymes with them all.

Besides his wife, Red was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard Milligan and Terry Spurling, Larry Spurling, sisters, Shirley and Rosemary Spurling and a son, Allan Woodard.

He was a retired welder.  In his younger days, he loved to camp, fish and play the guitar, but his biggest love was his family.
