WASHINGTON, DC - Local Boy Scout Terry Hendriex was among a select group of scouts from around the country to meet Wednesday in the nation’s captial.

The “Report to the Nation” is an annual event during which representatives from the Boy Scouts of America travel to Washington, D.C., to present to Congress a report on the BSA’s achievements of the last year.

Hendriex was selected through a rigorous nomination and review process to be one of the 13 Scouts to deliver the 2019 BSA Report to the Nation.

Terry is an Arrow of Light Recipient from Pack 4142, and an Eagle Scout from Troop 1142, both in Clinton. He also is active in his local Venturing Crew 2142.

Terry also is a Vigil Honor member from Wenasa Quenhotan Lodge and is active in the Order of the Arrow.

Terry’s favorite Scouting memory was when he summated the tooth of time at Philmont. Outside of Scouting he is a Senior at Clinton High School, where he likes to run, hike, and read in his free time.

“It is a distinct honor to have one of our own Scouts show the nation how the volunteers of the W. D. Boyce Council have prepared him for life,” representatives of the Council announced.
