CLINTON — Tony Hable, 57 and Karen Hable, also 57, of Clinton died Saturday in a two-vehicle accident north of Clinton on Rt. 51.
The accident happened a little after 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Hable’s car was northbound on U.S. Rt. 51 as a semi-truck hauling grain was on Autumn Road. The semi crossed northbound traffic heading south toward Clinton, and the car and truck collided, according to DeWitt County Coroner Randy Rice.
Autumn Road runs north and south but turns west, where it intersects with Rt. 51 between Clinton and Wapella, north of Tabor Road.
The victims were pronounced dead at the scene just before 6 p.m. The semi driver was not injured.
