CLINTON — Lois Eileen Cray, 94, of Clinton, passed away at 6:10 p.m. on July 25, 2017, at Manor Court, Clinton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Clinton, with Rev. Fr. James Henning, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wapella. Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rosary at 4:30 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to Vespasian Warner Library or to St. John’s Catholic Church.
Lois was born on August 16, 1922, in Downs, Ill. She married Francis Donald “Don” Cray April 26, 1943, in Ft. Myers, Fla. He passed away on March 14, 2004.
Survivors include her children, Fran (Barry) Barnard, Vero Beach, Fla., David (Ellen) Cray, Ottawa, Ontario Canada, Phil (Barb) Cray, Port Byron, Ill., Bruce (Maria) Cray, Brookshire, Texas, Rene`e (Bill) Zorc, Libertyville, Ill., Tom Cray, Morton Grove, Ill., Terry Cray, Vernon Hills, Ill. and Kevin Cray, Clinton, Ill.; a brood of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and brother, Earl Campbell, Clinton, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Helen Samuels, Hazel Lawyer, Howard Campbell, Carl Campbell, Gene Campbell and Floyd Campbell.
Lois was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She formerly worked at The John Warner Bank as a bookkeeper.
