CLINTON — Mabel Rosine Rich, 96, of Clinton, passed away 4:35 a.m. on August 23, 2021, at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Morris, Ill.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Pastor Nick Blacklidge officiating. Burial will follow at Willmore Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 1–2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Clinton Assembly of God Church or The DeWitt County Friendship Center.
Mabel was born on April 28, 1925 in Birkbeck, the daughter of Nathan and Mary Ona (Spencer) Welch. She married Gilbert T. Manigan on September 16, 1942, in Rockford. He passed away on March 17, 1999. She later married Jim Rich on April 9, 2005, in Clinton. He passed away on August 14, 2018.
She is survived by her son, Tom (Cindy) Manigan, Minooka, Ill.; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, and brother, Merle Welch, Clinton.
Mabel was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna Stepp; granddaughter, Chele Spears; three brothers and three sisters.
Mabel and Gilbert owned and operated the Gold-N-Rise Donut Shop in Clinton.
