WELDON — A 34-year-old man was killed in a collision between two semi-trailer trucks Friday, Oct. 9, at the intersection of Illinois Route 10 and Friends Creek Road in Weldon.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 3 p.m., according to DeWitt County Coroner Randy J. Rice. The other driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
An autopsy was scheduled.
The name of those involved has not been released pending notification of family.
The accident is being investigated by the Illinois State Police and the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office.
