CHICAGO — Maria Carballosa, 35, of Chicago, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Rush Presbyterian Hospital.
Maria was born on January 15, 1982, in Decatur, to Rafael Carballosa and Angela Mitchell.
Maria is survived by her two children, Jose “JJ” Carballosa, of Decatur, and Josie Boyer, of Clinton; her mother, Angela Mitchell, of Clinton; her two brothers, Jose “Joey” Carballosa, of Decatur, and Brandon Mitchell, of Clinton; and her two sisters, Josephita Mitchell, of Lincoln, and Elizabeth Carballosa, of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her father; daughter, Billiejo; her brother, Jehovah Carballosa and her sister, Andrea Mitchell.
Visitation services to celebrate the life of Maria Carballosa will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to her sister, Elizabeth Carballosa.
