Maroons close April with a win, Lady Maroons with a loss

CLINTON — As the month of April closed, the Tuscola Warrior teams came to town hoping for wins in their throwback uniforms. The Warriors wore black with white pinstripes, while the Lady Warriors wore all yellow uniforms.
The CHS Maroons started the scoring in the first inning with one run. The Warriors slugged back with 3 runs in the second but were shut down by the Maroons’ defense for the rest of the game.
The Maroons scored another run in the third inning, adding 5 runs in the fifth and capping their day with three runs in the 6th inning to take the13-3 win.
Jack Manning (3-2) got the win with Brooks Cluver coming on to cloe the game for the Maroons. Offensively for the Maroons, Manning was 3/4 with a double, Colton Walker went 2/4 with 4 RBI’s, Preston Curtis went 2/3 with 3 runs scored and Mason Walker had a double.
