CLINTON — The Maroons freshman basketball team returned to its home court on Saturday, December 8, to face the Sangamon Valley Storm.
The Maroons looked sluggish and out of touch in their first home game, opening the season against the Meridian Hawks, but on this night it was a different story.
They ran like a well-oiled machine. They knew where everyone was on the floor and ran their plays as called.
The offense was blistering with eight of the 12 teammates scoring points, led by Izak Graves with 15 points. The defensive effort was more than could be expected as the Maroons held the Storm to 2 points in the first half and only 6 points in the second half.
The Maroons won this outing 46-8.
