CLINTON — The Clinton High School Maroon’s golf team is mostly on the road this season with only three home meets.
Last week, Aug. 17, the team was in a meet at Monticello along with the Maroa-Forsyth Trojan golfers. Unfortunately, the Maroon duffers were last in the standings with a team total of 185.
Monticello’s Sages were first on their home turf at 158, with the Trojans in second at 168.
In the individual running, Maroa-Forsyth’s Grant Reid took the honors shooting a round of 36. The Maroons Brooks Cluver took fourth place with a round of 41.
And as a side note: this season, the Maroons have a Lady Maroons team, so keep an eye out for a lot of golf this season.
