CLINTON — Friday, April 21, saw the Maroons’ junior varsity (JV) team at home hosting the Central A&M Raiders.
The Raiders had a cold start with no runs scored while allowing the Maroons to plate 6 runs in the first and 5 runs in the second inning.
Finally, the Raiders scored twice in the third inning only to be answered by the Maroons with four more runs of their own. Both teams then scored one run apiece in the fourth inning. The Raiders could find no offense in the fifth inning, so the game ended there due the 10 run mercy rule with the Maroons winning 16-3.
The battery for this game was Branden Harris pitching and Jaxon Savage catching.
