MAHOMET — On Tuesday, March 21, The Clinton Maroons traveled eastward to face the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs.
The “Dawgs” would prove hard to handle on this early spring day. The Maroons had some quality hits during the game but could not string them together to produce any runs.
The Bulldogs, on the other hand, started in the first with 2 runs and added two more in the second and third innings. This was all Mahomet-Seymour would need to win the game 6-0.
Jake Wade pitched five innings for the Maroons and took the loss. Mac Hickman pitched the last inning in relief.
The Maroons are now 1-1 on the season and nest play at home on Saturday, March 25, starting at 11 a.m.
