CLINTON — Mary F. Dile 79 of Clinton, IL passed away 5:02 AM August 13, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Sharon and Kevin Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 12 Noon – 2 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Guardians of the Children.
Mary was born July 9, 1938 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Clifford and Leona (Chandler) Burge. She married Donald Wayne Cox, December 31, 1955; he passed away October 7, 1993. She later married Wilbur Dile, May 18, 1973.
Survivors include her husband: Wilbur Dile, Clinton, IL; children: Kimberly (Richie) Cox Thomas, Clinton, IL, Dereck Wayne Cox, Clinton, IL, David (Sandra) Cox, Erin, TN; 13 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; and sister: Marilyn Thomas, Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 great granddaughter.
Mary was an avid supporter of Guardians of the Children and CASA to help abused children.
She was a diehard Cubs fan and valued her family greatly.
