KENNEY – Mike and Joyce Mathias, of Kenney, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
The Mathias’ were married at the Calvary Baptist Church, in Normal, Ill., on Feb. 21, 1970, at 3 p.m.
Joyce (Miller) is a retired secretary from State Farm Insurance Company, and Mike is engaged in farming. He is veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam conflict.
They are the parents of Marc Mathias, of Kenney, Amy (Matt) Austin, of Frankfort, Ill., and Alysha (Trent) Seggelke, of Bloomington. They have eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Mike and Joyce will celebrate their anniversary on Feb. 21 with a family dinner and an open house reception on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 2-5 p.m. in the Family Life Center of the First Christian Church, in Clinton.
