CLINTON — Merribeth Koyak, 69, of Clinton, and Naples, Fla., passed away at 11:35 a.m. on July 17, 2017, at her family residence, Clinton.
Private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John’s Catholic Church, Clinton, with Rev. Fr. James Henning, Celebrant. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Catholic Church, Clinton, or St. Agnes Catholic Church, Naples, Fla.
Merribeth was born on September 27, 1947, in Peru, Ill., the daughter of Carl James and Hazel (Schmoeger) Ross. She married Peter G. Koyak, III on December 16, 1967, in Notre Dame, Ind.
Survivors include her husband, Peter G. Koyak, III Clinton, and Naples, Fla.; children, Peter G. (Renee`) Koyak, IV, Clinton; Karissa (Donald, Jr.) West, Clinton; grandchildren, Victoria Wilson, Maddison Koyak, and Miley Koyak.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharlene Musial.
Merribeth was a registered nurse, graduating from the Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing. She was also a former bookkeeper for Fourwinds RV, Maroa, Ill.
