KENNEY — Michael “Mike” Davis, 68, of Kenney, passed away at 12:20 a.m. on August 23, 2020, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the Kenney Fire Department or to the Kenney Christian Church
Mike was born on March 3, 1952, in Manilla, Phillipines the son of Isaac “Bud” and Agnes “Bonny” (Bullinger) Davis. He married Debra Mayfield on August 22, 1993, in Kenney.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Davis, Kenney; mother, Agnes “Bonny” Davis, Clinton; children, Alexandra Davis, Kenney; Bryan (Jane Ellen) Davis, San Antonio, Texas; Michele Davis, San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren; Katelyn and Audrey, sisters, Patricia (Larry) Cowman, Valerie (Stephen) Sronce and Debra Strohkirch all of Clinton; brother, Phillip (Gabriele) Davis, Decatur; brothers-in-law, Ed (Cindy) Mayfield, Mount Pulaski and Jack (Peggy) Mayfield, Decatur. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Davis, and brother-in-law, William Strohkirch.
Mike was a member of the Kenney Christian Church. Mike had numerous jobs in his lifetime but loved to negotiate deals with people the best. He was a loving father and husband.
