BELVIDERE, Tenn. — Novella “Vell” (Ashley) Wilden, 77, of Belvidere, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Franklin County, she was born on August 15, 1943, to the late Green H. and Lue Virdia (Steele) Ashley. Before her retirement, she worked as a dietary cook for over 37 years. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family. Vell was a devoted member of First United Church UCC, in Belvidere, where she attended for more than 32 years. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 37 years, Thomas Wilden, of Belvidere; children, John (Lucretia) Parker, of Birdsboro, Pa., Tom (Kenya) Parker of Clinton, Ill., Melissa Jayne (Darrell) Payne of Westchester, Ohio, and KaLynn (Travis) Miner, of Farmland, Ind.; grandchildren, Christopher Sandman, Jarrad Sandman, Chelsey Shisler, Shannon Payne, Allison Payne, Charlotte Payne, Warren Payne, Olivia Miner, and Benjamin Miner; great-grandson, Ronin Shisler; and sister, Shelia Ashley, of Keith Springs.
