Pheasants Forever youth shoot Oct. 7

CLINTON — The DeWitt County Pheasants Forever youth shoot will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Dick Graves’ farmstead, 7500 Jenkins Switch Road, three miles west of Clinton on Rt. 10, ½-mile north on Jenkins Switch Road.

Registration will be held from 8-8:30 a.m. on the day of the event.  This is a free introduction to shooting sports, including archery, shotgun, rifle, handgun, air rifle and black powder shooting.

Lunch will be provide by Kirby IGA.  There will be prizes and giveaways, and everything will be provided by the DeWitt County Pheasants Forever and the organization’s major youth sponsors, the Dick Graves family, Baum Chevrolet-Buick and Kirby IGA.

Families are encouraged to participate in this safe, instructional shooting event.  There will be a safety presentation by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources at 8:30 a.m. on event day.
