CLINTON — Clinton Area Ministerial Association will sponsor a Hymn Festival on Sunday in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.
The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Clinton Presbyterian Church, 402 N. Center Street.
Participants can celebrate and sing hymns that helped move the Reformation forward. Ministers from CAMA will be featured speakers and will present history and scripture about the hymns. The festival will be dedicated to Mrs. Dixie Montgomery in honor and recognition of her contribution to church music for 60 years.
A free-will offering will be collected and donated to CAMA’s relief fund, which assists those in need in a variety of areas in DeWitt County. A reception, sponsored by Clinton Presbyterian Church, will follow the festival.
