CLINTON — Last week the Central A&M (Assumption/Moweaqua) Raiders invaded Maroon territory and manhandled the home team the entire game.
The Maroons generated numerous turnovers that turned into points for the opposition, along with committing 13 fouls, which gave the Raiders more point opportunities.
The Raiders initialized their lead with an eight- point run in the first quarter and a 12-point run in the second quarter to set themselves a sizable lead. The Maroons couldn’t get any closer than a 12-point deficit in the second half.
The Maroons were outplayed in this outing and suffered the loss 67-44.
The highlights for the Maroons were Zeke Hickman with 12 points (including one 3-pointer) and Cal Case with 10 points (including two 3-pointers). Skyler Williamson also added two 3-point baskets.
The Raiders were also successful in downing the JV Maroons 38-30.
