CLINTON — Ralph W. Pair, 94, of Clinton, went to be with the Lord at 10:05 p.m. on August 31, 2017 at Manor Court, Clinton.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Clinton Assembly Of God Church with Pastor Dan Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Lisenby Cemetery, Lane, Ill., with military honors. Visitation will be 6–8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Clinton Assembly Of God Church.
Ralph was born January 30, 1923 in Volga, S.D., the son of John Rufus and Fanny Pearl (Caldwell) Pair. He married L. Margaret Miller on February 16, 1947 in DeWitt, Ill. She passed away on July 7, 2001.
Survivors include his children, Grace (Larry) Baer, Lebanon, Ind., Gloria Jean Alsup, Maroa, Ill., Martha Rose (Donald) Welch, Clinton, Ill., Deanna Kay (Steve) Brannan, Clinton, Ill., 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law: Gary Alsup, Sr., three brothers and one sister
Ralph was a WWII, U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Clinton Assembly of God Church. He served many capacities at the church including head usher, Deacon, Treasurer, and Elder. Ralph was a Custodian at Clinton School District and was a farm hand for various farmers in the area.
