CLINTON — On June 23, 2022, our Lord and Savior welcomed Randie L Meade into the gates of Heaven.

Randie was born in Maroa, to Ronald and Virginia Garfoot.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Ronda and Rita, her ex-husband and friend Sam Meade, her close friends Georgia and Yvetta and her cherished furr baby Callie.

She is survived by her sister Rae Ann Sperry, Clinton; her children Sandy Meade, Cicero, Ind.; Steve Meade, Clinton; Sharon Ceniceros Meade, Clinton; and one grandson, Damian Ceniceros Meade, San Diego, Calif.

Randie loved to laugh, do puzzles and listen to her favorite band, Home Free.  Her most cherished time was just spending time with her family, going out to lunch and playing cards (Yes, she cheated, but in a way, that made you always smile). The minute you came into her life you became family, and she would tell everyone to call her mom.

She worked for the United States Postal Service, in Springfield, for more than 30 years. She was a lifelong member of the Rebecca Oddfellows Lodge.

Arrangements will be handled by Calvert Funeral Homes, of Clinton.  The family will hold a private service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Second Chance for Pets, of Clinton, in her and Callie’s name.
