'Restore Illinois' Phase IV change prompts Haunted House cancellation

CLINTON — The Clinton Chamber of Commerce announced today that due to a 9/24/20 update to the Restore Illinois Phase IV, Clinton's Terror on Washington Street Haunted House will not open on October 9 as planned.  The DeWitt Piatt Bi-County Health Department emailed the Chamber today with the news.

Clinton Haunted House is a well known event that has taken place for over 25 years.  Volunteers were moving forward with plans to open on October 9th.  Numerous changes were implemented to the interior of the haunt, as well as other changes such as online ticket sales with timed entry, to control the flow of visitors inside the building.  The online ticket link has been removed from social media and websites as of today.  Full refunds will be given to those who have purchased tickets for the event.

The Clinton Chamber of Commerce will look forward to 2021 with plans to re-open Clinton's Terror on Washington Street Haunted House.
