CLINTON — Richard “Dick” L. Gaultney, 82, passed away at Manor Court in Clinton, on May 11, 2023 at 10:15 p.m. surrounded by family. 

Dick was born in Harp Township, Dewitt County Ill. to John B. and Lola Edna Dunn Gaultney.

Dick was a retired welder for Mason Steel/ADM. He was a very private man who enjoyed a simple, uncomplicated life.  In his younger years he enjoyed woodworking and helping his bother and sister-in law.

He is survived by his son Kirk and many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was preceded in death by his oldest son Richard “Richey” Gaultney, his parents, four brothers and five sisters.

A memorial service will held on August 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. at graveside in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, located outside of Kenney, Il. 

Friends and family are invited to attend the service and add stories or memories they shared with Dick.
