RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. — Rita V. Davis, formerly of Clinton, went to Heaven on August 8, 2019 to be with her Lord and Savior. She had been residing in Rutherfordton, N.C.
She was born on May 28, 1939. She was 80 years old.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Leo P. Stukey and Verna Mae (Roberts); her husband, Jaek and beloved son, Jackie; sisters, Dixie, Janice, Leona and Rosa.
Rita was a lifetime member of the Broad River Baptist Church. She retired from Cone Mill.
Suviving is her daughter, Sherry Mendenall, Decatur, Ill.; sisters, Sandra Leevey, of Tyler, Texas; Ruth Ann Spencer, Clinton; Carla Stukey, Crystal River, Fla.; brothers, Lyle Stukey, Tyler, Texas; Carl Stukey, Gainsville, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A memorial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 31 at Second Church of God, 2670 E. Division Street, Decatur.
