MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Robert L. Maxwell, age 85, of Murfreesboro passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017. He was the husband of the late Patricia Maxwell and the son of the late Carl and Nellie Stone Maxwell. He was an Army Veteran that served from 1952-1955.
Mr. Maxwell is survived by his daughter, Kathy Fought of Sarasota, Fla.; his son, Robert Doug Maxwell and his wife Leilani of Clinton, Ill.; his daughter, Julie Young and her husband Johnny of Murfreesboro; his two brothers, John Allwood Maxwell and his wife Iris of Clinton, Ill.; Joseph Raymond Maxwell and his wife Betty of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Margaret Burger and Louise Nichols and her husband Cletus all of Clinton, Ill.; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Redemption Baptist Church with a visitation to begin at 9:30 a.m. and go until the time of service.
Mr. Maxwell was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Maxwell, Roger “Butch” Maxwell, and Lester Maxwell.
