CLINTON — Roy M. Harrold, 79, of Clinton, died November 5, 2023, in The Loft Rehabilitation of Decatur.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Assumption, Ill.  Visitation will be held from 9–11 a.m., prior to service time.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Assumption.

Memorials may be made to Fraternal Order of Eagles #593 (Clinton), St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (Clinton) or St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Assumption).

Roy was born on January 20, 1944, in Bloomington, the son of Ross C. and Alice L. (Bottrell) Harrold.  He married Connie Bantner on September 2, 1986, in Decatur.  She survives.

Roy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Clinton, and Clinton Eagles FOE #593.

Surviving are his wife, Connie; daughters,Schelli Kirby, of Clinton, and Carrie (Bill) Eike, of Geneva, Ill.; three grandchildren; sister, Carol Harrold, of Hastings, Neb., and sister-in-law, Martha Wilcox, of Kearney  Neb.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Charles.
