CLINTON — Ruth Ann Durbin, 79, of Clinton, passed away at 12:25 p.m. on August 18, 2019, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.
Memorials may be directed to the Warner Hospital Foundation.
Ruth was born on October 6, 1939, in Birkbeck, Ill., the daughter of Earl and Oleta (Henson) Jiles. She married Gary Duane Durbin in 1958, in Clinton.
Survivors include her children, Richard Durbin, Kenney, Ill., and Don (Annette) Durbin, Ashland, Ill., one grandson, Josh Durbin, Clinton, one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Durbin, Clinton, several step- grandchildren, and step- great-grandchildren, siblings, Barbara (Gene) Willoughby, Clinton; David Jiles, Florida, and Jim (Robin) Jiles, Sevierville, Tenn. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Alice Bolin and Robert Jiles; and her ex-husband in 2009.
Ruth worked at the Warner Hospital and Health Services for over 30 years. She enjoyed taking trips and traveling, but, most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
