CLINTON — Ruth Ann Monkman, 77, of Clinton, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on July 31, 2019 at her family residence, Clinton.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Rick Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 1–2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Ruth Ann Monkman memorial fund.

Ruth Ann was born on May 1, 1942, in Clinton,  the daughter of Lloyd and Mary (Welch) Polen. She married Ronald D. Monkman on August 31, 1959, in Clinton. He passed away on December 8, 2010.

Survivors include her daughter, Susie (Ron) Springman, Clinton; grandchildren, Tracy (Mike) France, Fla.; Justin (Heather) Angel, Ariz.; Heather Springman (Stacy), Clinton; Nathan Springman (Jenny), Clinton; Jeremy (Brittany) Monkman, Ore.; Travis (Joquena) Krouse, Tenn., 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, siblings, Jim (Judy) Polen, Clinton; Ida Polen, Clinton; Linda Early, Clinton; Joyce Smiley (Roger Bernius), DeWitt; Peggy Woodward, Weldon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Shirley Monkman, Clinton; Irvin (Jessie) Monkman, Metropolis; Shirley (David) Harris, New Washington, Ind.; Sharon Gratton, Fla.; Rueben (Linda) Monkman, Ellis Grove, Ill.; Beverly (Terry) Teel, Wapella.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sons; one infant daughter; son, Jerry Lee “Jocko” Monkman; three brothers; three sisters; parents-in-law, Rube and Eileen Monkman; and brother-in-law, Bob Monkman.

Ruth Ann faithfully attended the Assembly of God Church, in Clinton for many years. She loved spending time with her family.
