CLINTON – RuthAnn Mandrell, 73, of Clinton, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

RuthAnn was born July 16, 1944, in Clinton, the daughter of Virgil and Ruby (Gardner) Florey.  She married Joe Mandrell on November 10, 1962, in DeWitt.

Surviving are their children, Jim (Sharon) Mandrell and Sharon Day, both of Clinton; six grandchildren, Tiffany (Andy) Dunham of Clinton; Dustin Mandrell of Fla.; Christopher Mandrell of Ga.; Chris Pherigo of Clinton; Tori Anne Mandrell of Clinton; and Sunny Day of Clinton; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce (Kenneth) Thrasher of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Judith Wadsworth.

RuthAnn was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She always put family first.  She owned her own business in Clinton called Stitch N’ Cover Upholstery for many years.  She had a passion for sewing, crocheting, gardening, and collecting Angels.  In her early years, she loved being on the dance floor with her husband.  

Per RuthAnn’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date at East Lawn Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.  East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at eastlawn-bloomington.com
