CLINTON — Samuel I. Polen, 62, of Clinton, passed away at 9:35 p.m. on March 7, 2022, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
A time to celebrate Sam’s life will be held from 3–5 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.
Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association; ASPCA or the American Heart Association.
Samuel was born on November 29, 1959, in Lincoln, the son of Lloyd Ivan and Mattie L. (Dodd) Polen.
Survivors include his brother, Bob (Karen) Polen, Oak Grove, Mo.; special nephew, Daniel (Michelle) Polen, Kenney; special niece, Amanda (Pat) Walters, Lincoln; along with many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Tony, Danny, and Tim, and two sisters, Becky Wylland and Mary Ann Vinson.
Sam enjoyed the Chicago Bears and Cubs games. He loved music but especially loved his family.
