CLINTON — Scott Alan Mason, 54, of Clinton, passed away at 11:02 a.m. on September 9, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

A celebration of life will be held at 12-noon on September 17, 2022, at the Lake View Shelter in Weldon Springs State Park, Clinton. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home with cremation rites.

Memorials may be directed to Scott Alan Mason memorial fund c/o Amy Mason.

Scott was on born September 29, 1967, in Joliet, Ill., the son of Michael “Bill” Mason and Laura (Glasgow) Blaesing. He married Amy Watts on November 14, 1998 in Sheldon, Ill.

Survivors include his wife,  Amy Mason, Clinton;  daughter, Sierra Lynn Mason, Clinton;  brother, Michael (Marcia) Mason, Channahon, Ill.; sister, Leslie Wegner, Sugar Grove, Ill.; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Jenner Watts, Dexter, Mo.; brother-in-law, Matthew (Christy) Watts, Bloomfield, Mo.; along with six nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by mother, Laura Blaesing, in 1998.

Scott enjoyed and was very talented at woodworking and diamondworking. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and loved spending time with his family.
