CLINTON — Clinton Fire Department will sell its old breathing air compressor to a small fire department in southern Illinois.
A few weeks ago, during city council discussion about the purchase of a new breathing air compressor for the fire department, the department was expected to receive $1,500 trade-in allowance on its old equipment.
“But, we thought we could get more for it, which we did,” reported commissioner Dan Ballenger.
A small fire department located in southern Illinois wanted the compressor, so this past week, the council place on file the sale of the equipment. The council will vote to approve the sale later this month.
During that session, the council also approved the city’s annual audit by Floyd & Associates for $26.250, and A133 (federal funds expenditures) audit for $4,025..
The council also approved the TIF funds audit by Floyd & Associates for $2,250.
