CLINTON — This past weekend was a big deal for the Vault as it celebrated its first anniversary.
The community turned out to see the new lower level game room, which is now completed and was on display. There were snacks, tours and speech contest. Dennis Lux was the winner. Lux recited from memory a speech given by Gen. Douglas MacArthur.
Vault t-shirts also were available.
Although the final tally was not available at the time, the guest book had pages and pages of signatures of people who attended the open house.
Everyone said they enjoyed the evening’s events and food, along with the community spirit that they felt had resulted by the undertaking of the Vault.
The new executive director, Tammy Wilson, was on-hand, along with founder Michelle Witzke and other Vault leaders and workers.
