HEYWORTH — Theron and Fern Noth, of rural Heyworth, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise around the Hawaiian islands, in January, and a family dinner at Kobe Restaurant, in Bloomington.
Theron and Fern Ensminger were married on April 5, 1968 at the United Methodist Church in Clinton, by Dr. Benjamin Garrison. Their attendants were Margo Weiting Wills and Richard Knoespel. Music was presented by the Clinton High School concert choir, Ardel Noth Pelton, violin, and Analee Karr, organist
They are the parents of Julie (Mark) Alexander, St. Charles, Mo, and Scott (Scarlett) Noth, of Jeffersonville, Ind. They have five grandchildren, Alana and Malia Alexander; and Iris, Oliver and Max Noth.
Theron retired from GTE Verizon after 27 years and State Farm Insurance after 10 years. Fern taught choral music and business education in Clinton and LeRoy schools; directed church choirs in Bloomington, Normal, Clinton and Heyworth, and retired from GTE Verizon.
