Think about becoming a museum member

The DeWitt County Museum Association is extending an invitation to anyone interested in becoming a member of the organization to do so.  Annual membership dues are renewed each January, so now is the perfect time to join.

Through your membership, you will be supporting the C.H. Moore Homestead DeWitt County Museum in its continuing efforts to preserve and interpret our county’s unique history, provide quality educational opportunities for students and adults, host annual and special events, promote local tourism, maintain the C.H. Moore Homestead (house, carriage barn, farm exhibit buildings, grounds, and historical collections), enhance our local economy, organize and fund the annual Apple ‘n Pork Festival, and encourage community pride in DeWitt County’s past and present.

Benefits of membership include unlimited admission-free daily museum tours, unlimited free admission to the quilt show, admission-free house tours during Apple ‘n Pork Festival weekend, and unlimited admission-free candlelight tours.  Guest privileges are included at the $30 rate or higher (free admission for you and your guests - family, friends, employees, business associates when accompanied by you, the membership holder).  Members also receive a complimentary subscription to The Homestead Gazette bi-annual newsletter as well as the satisfaction that comes with supporting an active non-profit organization such as the DeWitt County Museum Association.

While members are under no obligation to become actively involved with the museum, anyone wishing to become an active associate is encouraged to do so.  Many volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year.  You can also help the DeWitt County Museum Association by attending our special events, making purchases at the Museum Gift Shop, and encouraging friends to do the same.
