CLINTON — The Clinton Journal confirmed on Monday that Tractor Supply Company (TSC) will open a store in Clinton in 2019. “I can confirm that a store will be opening in late Summer of 2019 in Clinton, Ill. At this time, that is all the information I can share,” said Francine Fisher, account supervisor with DVL Seigenthaler, a Nashville, Tenn.-based public relations firm. Although Fisher did not specify the former Clinton Walmart site as the location of the planned TSC store, a notice from contractors on the job revealed the company will retrofit the building located at 10 Clinton Plaza, the location of the empty Walmart store.
City officials received confirmation of the plan Tuesday when TSC representatives applied for the appropriate city permits for the project.
