Treasurer's office sends out property tax bills

CLINTON — The DeWitt County Treasurer’s office has mailed out property tax bills.  The first installments are due by July 22, 2019, and the second installments are due by September 3

Anyone who has not received their tax bills should contact the DeWitt County Treasurer’s office at (217) 935-7820.  Failure of taxpayers to receive a tax bill does not relieve them of their tax liability

If a mailing address has been changed, call the Supervisor of Assessments office at (217) 935-7800 with an address change.  Any questions about assessments or exemptions should be directed to the Supervisor of Assessments office.

Tax payments may be made an any bank in DeWitt County, in person at the DeWitt County Courthouse, 201 W. Washington Street, Clinton, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, online at www.dewittcountyill.com, link to Treasurer’s online payments, in the drop box located at the north end of the county building parking lot or through the mail to P.O. Box 439, Clinton, IL 61727.

With all payment, other than online, the payment coupon attached to the bottom of the tax bill must accompany the payment.
