CLINTON — DeWitt County Coroner, Randy J. Rice has released the name of an elderly female who passed away in a house fire on January 9, as Evelyn Rosalie Eaton, 87. The residence at 417 North Elm St., Clinton, caught on fire at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. The coroner’s office and the state fire marshal is still investigating the incident.
Her son was transported to Springfield Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the fire, Rice reported early Wednesday.
