CLINTON — The Vespasian Warner Public Library District received a $9,000 donation this week from Mary Ann Ryan in memory of her late husband, Gerald “Jerry” Ryan. Jerry was an active member of his community and visited the library often with his wife. Mary Ann also served the library on the Board of Trustees for several years.
The donation was presented to the Executive Director of the library, Bobbi Perryman, on Monday afternoon.
“I am honored and greatly appreciate this donation made by the Ryan family,” Perryman said. “It is heartwarming to know that the people in our community love and support the Vespasian Warner Public Library District.”
The donation will be used to install a digital sign on Center Street near the library’s parking lot entrance. The sign will display information about upcoming events and programs, which are free and open to the public.
