CLINTON — Viola Ruth Harvey, 93, of Clinton, passed away at 6:26 p.m. on March 12, 2019, at St. Clara’s Manor, Lincoln, Ill.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Heyworth Cemetery, Heyworth, with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the DeWitt County Friendship Center or Little Galilee Christian Assembly.
Viola was born on July 26, 1925, in Atlanta, Ill., the daughter of Franklin and Lelia (Emery) Strohkirch. She married Edward Davis and then later married Maurice Lyle “Morey” Harvey in 1960. He passed away on February 17, 1996.
Survivors include her children, Bill Davis, Orlando, Fla.; Sandy (Glen) Bowes, Palm Coast, Fla.; Theodore “Ted” (Louise) Harvey, Franklin, Ill.; Beverly (Rick) Angel, Clinton, Ill., eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, Roy (Deloris) Strohkirch, DeWitt, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters.
Viola was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, and The Red Hat Society. She volunteered at the Kids Corner Preschool at First Christian Church, Little Galilee Christian Assembly, DeWitt County Friendship Center and also the Grandparent Program.
