Warner Library receives technology grant

CLINTON — The Vespasian Warner Public Library District,  in Clinton, recently received a grant from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation (IPCF) for the purchase of a library laptop.

The portable workstation can be used in study rooms or at library tables as an aid in group work. Users will be able to join Zoom or other virtual meetings, participate in online job interviews, or attend webinars and online classes.

The laptop is free to use for those ages 16 and above. A library card or form of photo ID is required. Visit the library or call 217-935-5174 to learn more about this new service or to schedule an appointment. To learn more about IPCF, visit https://ilprairiecf.org/.

The library is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Hours are subject to change. The library will be closed on Friday, August 19 for a staff development day.
