Weldon Springs Foundation fall meeting September 6

CLINTON — The Weldon Springs State Park Foundation will hold its fall meeting on Sept. 6 at the Union Schoolhouse.

The 6 p.m. meeting will include planning for the Sept. 17 event marking the 75th anniversary of Weldon Springs as a state park.

The public is invited to attend the anniversary party scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Union Schoolhouse. Refreshments will be served and a large collection of historical photos and materials will be on display.

The Foundation also will host several upcoming events, including a Halloween party and a holiday visit with Mr. and Mrs. Santa.  Volunteers are welcome to help with these and other efforts by the Foundation.

The Weldon Springs Foundation is open to everyone. There are plenty of opportunities to be involved with indoor and outdoor projects that help maintain the schoolhouse, Texas Township Hall nature center and other areas of the park and offer activities for all ages.
