CLINTON — William Ray Wilson, 82, of Clinton, passed away at 3:25 a.m. on April 23, 2017, at his family residence, Clinton.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at the Texas Township Cemetery, Clinton, with military honors. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the William Ray Wilson memorial fund.
Bill was born on May 18, 1934, in Attica, Ind., the son of Jesse Francis and Ruby Mae (Lee) Wilson. He married Ruth Ann Bowman on January 27, 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Wilson, Clinton; children, Devin Jerrold Wilson, Clinton; Romona Doreen (Tim) Parker, Indianapolis, Ind.; Corine (Sherman) Taulbee, Kenney; Joe (Pam) Thompson, Bloomington, Ill.; Roger (Caroline) Thompson, Clinton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; siblings, Annie (David) Morgan, Williamsport, Ind.and Kay Whistler, Attica, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rena Bowling; two grandchildren; one brother and onesister.
Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a mechanic and enjoyed collecting and working on cars.
