CLINTON — Wilma L. Sympson, of Clinton, will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house and card shower from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, in the Warner Library Revere Room, 310 N. Quincy Street, Clinton. No gifts requested.
Wilma was born on June 28, 1927, in DeWitt, Ill., to Walter and Goldie Watson. She married Roy Sympson on October 25, 1947. Roy passed away on October 7, 1996. She had one brother and two sisters, all now deceased.
Her children are Jean (Paul) Williams, of Kenney, and Vicki (John) Watts, of Springfield. Wilma has two grandchildren, Kari Williams and Michael Watts.
She is a retired nurse, having graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1948. She worked for Drs. Sinow and Ramey, DeWitt County Nursing Home and retired from Dr. John Warner Hospital.
Wilma is a member of the First Baptist Church, Clinton.
