CARBONDALE — Marcus Woods, of Clinton, graduated during the fall 2022 commencement from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, held on December 17.

Woods graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in cinema production from the College of Arts & Media.  He transferred to Southern after graduating from Richland Community College with an Associate in Arts in communications.

Woods was active in the Movie Camera Movement student organization at Southern and was a crew member and actor on several student productions.

Woods is a 2018 graduate of Clinton High School, was a member of the band and worked in Clinton Youth Initiative.

He is the son of Gordon and Wendy Woods.
